A Kite Making Activity was organized for the students on 13th January 2026 in the school premises with the objective of encouraging creativity, teamwork, and joyful learning. The activity was conducted in a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere, engaging students in a hands-on learning experience.
Students actively participated in designing and making colourful kites using paper, sticks, thread, and decorative materials. Under the guidance of teachers, they learned the basic techniques of kite making, including cutting, shaping, pasting, and decorating. The activity helped students develop fine motor skills, creativity, patience, and coordination.
The event also highlighted the cultural significance of kite flying, especially during festivals like Makar Sankranti, promoting awareness of traditional practices and values. Students worked individually and in groups, sharing ideas and materials, which fostered cooperation and team spirit.
The completed kites displayed a variety of bright colours, patterns, and innovative designs. A short interaction session was held where students explained their designs, boosting their confidence and communication skills.
The Kite Making Activity concluded with appreciation of students’ efforts and encouragement to continue exploring creative and eco-friendly practices.
