Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence

A workshop on “Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence” was conducted for the teachers on 10 June 2026 with the objective of enhancing educators' understanding of emerging technologies and their applications in education. The session was led by Dr. Diwakar Singh, an eminent academician and researcher with extensive expertise in the fields of education, computational thinking, and artificial intelligence.

The workshop commenced with a warm welcome to the resource person and participants. Dr. Singh introduced the concept of Computational Thinking (CT) and explained its key components, namely decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic thinking. He emphasized the importance of developing problem-solving skills and logical reasoning among students through computational thinking practices.

The session further explored the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI), its evolution, applications, and growing significance in various sectors, especially education. Teachers were introduced to AI-powered tools and their potential to enhance teaching-learning processes, personalize learning experiences, and improve educational outcomes.

Through interactive discussions and practical examples, the resource person demonstrated how computational thinking and AI can be integrated into classroom activities across different subjects. The participants actively engaged in the activities and gained valuable insights into the ethical and responsible use of AI in education.

The workshop proved to be highly informative and enriching. It provided teachers with a deeper understanding of modern technological advancements and inspired them to incorporate innovative approaches in their teaching practices. The session concluded with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to Dr. Diwakar Singh for sharing his expertise and guiding the participants towards exploring new horizons in education through Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence.

Overall, the workshop was a great success and significantly contributed to the professional development of the teaching faculty.
