Our school celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on 29th September 2025 with great enthusiasm and reverence, focusing on the theme “Swachh Bharat”. The day’s activities were designed to spread awareness about cleanliness, hygiene, and the values of Mahatma Gandhi.
The programme began with a special assembly where students paid tribute to the Father of the Nation through prayer, patriotic songs, and speeches highlighting Gandhiji’s principles of truth, non-violence, and cleanliness. A skit was performed by the students of Class IV, depicting Gandhiji’s vision of a clean and self-reliant India.
As part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, students, teachers, and non-teaching staff participated in a cleanliness drive within the school campus and surrounding areas. Dustbins were placed in different corners of the school to encourage proper waste disposal. Students also took a pledge to maintain cleanliness in their classrooms, homes, and neighbourhoods.
An essay writing and poster-making competition on the topic “Clean India – Green India” was organized to encourage creativity and awareness among students. The best entries were displayed on the school notice board to inspire others.
The day concluded with the Principal’s address, reminding everyone that true tribute to Gandhiji is not just in remembering him once a year, but in living by his ideals daily.
Overall, the celebration was meaningful and inspiring, reinforcing the importance of cleanliness and responsibility towards society, in line with the Swachh Bharat Mission.
