The Congregation of the School sisters of St.Francis is founded by Mother Alexia Hoell, Mother Alfonse Schimd and Sister Clara Seiter in USA in 1874. It is an international Franciscan Congregation. Our foundresses believed that “The needs of the time are the will of God”. In responding to this need, we began our long history of service in education. “To love God... and to be loved by God must be our sole desire”. Today, the sisters are serving the people through colleges, schools, orphanages, institutions for physically challenged, homes for the destitute, hostels, dispensaries and rural development programmes. The Spirit and vision of our Foundresses has moved us on and enabled us to spread over India since 1975.Our reputed institutions are St.Francis Convent Sr.Sec.School, Raisen (M.P), St.Francis Convent School, Budni (M.P) and Mother Alexia School, Chayoth, in Kerala .
